Victoria’s Secret’s Lindsay Ellingson to launch own make-up line Wander Beauty
From the catwalk to the cosmetics aisle: Victoria’s Secret Angel Lindsay Ellingson set to launch her own make-up line
It was just yesterday that Lindsay Ellingson walked in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, and she has already announced plans for her next venture.
The 30-year-old Angel revealed to Lucky that she has created a cosmetics line called Wander Beauty, which is set to launch on the QVC television channel in April 2015.
Inspired by her own travels, the make-up collection will include a number of multi-purpose products, such as a stick that is one part blush and one part highlighter.
‘We’re all about the multipurpose makeup,’ said Lindsay, who originally hails from San Diego. ‘Our launch product is this dual stick. One side is this creamy blush and on the other side is a highlighter.
‘It’s not chalky at all,’ she added. ‘It’s so beautiful and you can put it anywhere: your lips, your eyes, your cheekbones.’
She and business partner Divya Gugnani, a Harvard business school grad, collaborated on Wander Beauty, offering a sneak peek of the beauty products on Instagram.
‘I’m obsessed with makeup – all my friends call me “The Walking Sephora,”‘ the supermodel said of her decision to start a beauty line.
‘I met [Divya] who graduated from the Harvard Business School and used to work at QVC and we collaborated together on the colors and the formulations.
‘We make such a good team – we’re a dynamic duo,’ she said.
Having walked for Victoria’s Secret for the past five years, Lindsay certainly knows a thing or two about looking runway-ready.
The 5ft 11in blonde – who married longtime love Sean Clayton in July – has also walked in shows for Chanel, Christian Dior, Gucci, Valentino and Oscar de la Renta, among others.
