Best friends: Taylor Swift, 33, had high praise for her best friend, Selena Gomez, 31, and her newly released song, Single Soon. On Saturday, she shared a reel to Instagram comprised of clips from the song’s music video that was originally posted by the actress
Over the weekend, she posted a black-and-white image from a club scene in the music video for Single Soon.
Addressing her many fans, the Rare Beauty founder had written: ‘Thank you guys for all the love on Single Soon!!!’
In her caption, she then provided insight into the significance of the song for her.
‘It’s a playful anthem about being comfortable in your own skin and loving your own company,’ she added.
Selena had also previously revealed that the empowering song would serve as a teaser for her forthcoming studio album — which is tentatively titled SG3.
Additional details nor a release date for her upcoming album have not yet been announced.
Taylor and Selena have been longtime friends since they met through the Jonas Brothers.
Back in 2008, the pair kicked off their longstanding friendship when Taylor was dating Joe and Selena was dating Nick.
A month later after their double date, Taylor attended the premiere of Selena’s film, Another Cinderella Story, to show her support.
Since then, the duo have attended many red carpets, many award shows, and celebrated a number of birthdays together.
Selena has also made surprise appearances at Taylor’s concert tours including Speak Now and Reputation.
Most recently, Selena attended Taylor’s concert in Los Angeles as well as Arlington, Texas amid her ongoing, career-spanning Eras Tour with her younger sister, Gracie.
Selena accidentally started a temporary feud with her friend Francia Raisa after she called Taylor her ‘only friend in the industry’ during an interview with Rolling Stone.
Francia, who donated a kidney to Selena, was apparently upset with Selena, though the Wizards Of Waverly Place star later clarified that she was referring to the music industry, which didn’t mean that Francia couldn’t still be a good friend in the film and television industry.
Fans also though that a feud was brewing after Francia wasn’t mentioned anywhere in Selena’s documentary My Mind & Me, but they have since made steps to repair their friendship.
