Selena Gomez shares swimsuit selfie on social media after revealing reason she’s wearing cast on her arm

Selena Gomez shared a swimsuit mirror selfie on Thursday on social media after recently revealing the story behind her broken hand.

The 31-year-old entertainer wore a green and blue floral print one-piece with a halter neck and plunging neckline in a photo shared on Instagram Stories for her roughly 428 million followers.

Selena sat barefoot with her leg crossed while holding up her cell phone for the selfie in a tall oval mirror that also showed her ample closet space.

She had her dark hair parted down the middle and tucked behind her ears in soft curls below her shoulders.

Selena accessorized with earrings and let her natural beauty shine with just a hint of makeup.

She also posted a selfie on Instagram Stories in a black crop, matching long skirt and tan moccasins while also sporting a black cast on her arm.

Selena admitted she sustained the injury after tripping on her long summer dress.

During an appearance on The Ellen K Morning Show, Selena confessed: ‘So I wish I had like a really cool story that I saved someone’s life or something. But I was in a long dress, it was a summer dress, and I was walking from my car to my house and tripped.

‘As a mother, I just want to say if you were my daughter, I would say thank God you didn’t break your teeth,’ host Ellen said.

‘Yes, that’s what the doctor said. I guess there is a silver lining. But this is not fun, this is not fun,’ Selena said.

The Calm singer followed that brief disclosure with, ‘I don’t care about selling anything. I’m just happy to make music with my friends.’

The Only Murders in the Building star didn’t go into any detail about which hand was broken, how it happened, or the extent of the injuries.

Single Now’s success may help Selena’s healing process.

It debuted at number two on the Spotify Global charts, right behind Miley Cyrus’ Used To Be Young.

Single Soon is expected to be included on a forthcoming album, but there’s no word yet when that will be.

‘Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer,’ the MTV Video Music Award winner explained on social media ahead of the release.

In January, Selena told Vanity Fair, ‘If I had my way, I would probably write ballads my whole life, but I want to produce music that will make people smile.’

She then explained, ‘The music I’m doing right now is about real things that I’m walking through.’

‘It’s really powerful, strong, very pop. The theme generally is freedom—freedom from relationships, freedom from the darkness.’
