Selena Gomez looked effortlessly cool in a plain white t-shirt and jeans while grabbing lunch with a group of friends at the celebrity hotspot, Nobu, in Malibu.
After grabbing a bite to eat at the oceanfront Japanese restaurant, the Only Murders in the Building actress was seen strutting back to her car in a pair of beige sandals.
She accessorized her laid-back ensemble with a pair of black shades, layered gold necklaces and a sequined pink shoulder bag.
For the occasion, the singer, 31, wore her long brunette hair in bouncy curls, which cascaded down her back as she made a beeline for the passenger side of a black vehicle.
The Rare Beauty founder kept her head down as she prepared to head home, following her outing with a male and female pal.
Gomez’s latest sighting comes after her former best friend, Francia Raisa, recently shut down rumors she was forced to donate her kidney to the singer.
The How I Met Your Father star, 35, made headlines in 2017 with her incredible act of kindness, donating to help Gomez, 31, as she battled lupus-related organ damage.
During an episode of Good Guys Podcast, which aired earlier this month, she shed light about her decision to undergo the procedure.
‘I just felt it in my heart, I knew I was a match. I knew it was gonna happen,’ she said. ‘No one forced me to do anything. It came out of the genuine kindness of my heart and I’ve been super blessed ever since.’
The performer went on to reveal that she considers herself to be a ‘walking success story,’ noting ‘I take better care of myself now than I did before’ and that she uses her experience to help other people considering organ donation.
Raisa first met Gomez in 2007 when they were teenagers and they instantly developed a tight bond and attended a number of red carpet events together.
Yet since donating a kidney to Gomez, the pair have had a fractious relationship and were publicly feuding for months.
Raisa, however, recently insisted she has ‘no beef’ with Gomez, who recently posted a birthday tribute in her honor.
The pair have had a rocky friendship in the years since Raisa donated a life-saving kidney to Gomez in 2017.
Gomez needed a new kidney after suffering organ damage related to her lupus diagnosis.
To honor Raisa’s incredible sacrifice, they each got the surgery date tattooed.
A year after the transplant, Gomez was seen partying and consuming alcohol, which allegedly led to Raisa confronting her about her ‘unhealthy choices.’
They reconciled in late 2018 after Gomez suffered a mental breakdown and checked herself into a facility.
But tensions flared last year when Gomez told Rolling Stone that her ‘only friend in the industry’ is fellow pop diva Taylor Swift.
Raisa remarked: ‘Interesting,’ on Instagram and made her feelings clear by subsequently unfollowing Gomez.
When a TikTok account posted a video documenting the burgeoning drama, Gomez snidely took to the comment section to write: ‘Sorry I didn’t mention every person I know.’
Adding fuel to the fire, Gomez also failed to mention Raisa as she spoke candidly about her mental and physical health in her Apple TV+ documentary My Mind And Me.
Gomez did show appreciation for Raisa as she candidly discussed the life-saving transplant while appearing on the streamer’s series Dear….
She revealed that the actress took it upon herself to get tested to see if she could be a kidney donor and said it was ‘unbelievably overwhelming’ that Raisa didn’t even second-guess making the decision.
But another wedge was seemingly put between the pair the following month when a TikTok comment went viral of Gomez referring to Swift — not Raisa — as her ‘best friend.’
In May, Raisa appeared to shade her former BFF by avoiding all questions about her while out in LA.
Raisa was asked about the state of her relationship with the Rare Beauty founder and if they are on speaking terms but she refused to share any insight.
