San Jose State swimmer Andreea Dragoi being called ‘the next Olivia Dunne’
Andreea Dragoi is adding her name to the ever-growing list of collegiate social media sensations.
Born in Romania, the now-college sophomore is currently based in California, where she is a member of the San Jose State University swim team. Although dedicated to her studies and athletics, Dragoi — who has been dubbed by outlets as the “next Olivia Dunne,” the widely known LSU gymnast — has dipped her toes into modeling, too.
“Shortly after I moved here, I started getting more and more modeling jobs which made me happy as modeling has always been my dream since I was a little kid, but it always felt so unreachable,” Dragoi previously told Miss Europe Continental Magazine.
“Now I’m competing in pageants as well which is a new passion and experience for me.”
In fact, Dragoi was named Miss California U.S. Nation back in August. She was previously named Miss San Jose U.S. Nation.
Dragoi expressed how she wants to “inspire everyone out there to start believing in themselves and do everything they’ve set their mind to.”
“Everything and anything is possible, all it takes is trust, putting the work in, and always loving what you’re doing,” she said.
Dragoi frequently posts photos from pageants and modeling shoots on social media, where she boasts more than 43,000 Instagram followers, as well as pics from her everyday life.
In a playful post from August, Dragoi shared, “Felt cute, but it’s a daily thing x.”
As for the advice Dragoi lives by? Knowing “it’s never too late to start doing what you want.”
“My message is to go shine out there, be confident, fearless, and never look back,” she said.
“Vitamin sea,” Dragoi captioned a bikini-clad shot from Laguna Beach, Calif., on Tuesday.
