Nicola Peltz speaks out on her and Brooklyn Beckham’s close friendship with Selena Gomez
‘We are a throuple’: Nicola Peltz speaks out on her and Brooklyn Beckham’s close friendship with Selena Gomez as she gushes ‘she’s one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met’
They have matching tattoos and call each other their ‘soul sister’.
And now Nicola Peltz, 27, has opened up on her close friendship with Selena Gomez, 30, even gushing that her husband Brooklyn Beckham, 23, is equally enamored with the singer and actress.
In a new interview with Cosmopolitan UK for it’s April/May issue, Nicola was asked about her fast-moving friendship with Selena.
She joked that she and her husband of one year Brooklyn have become so close to the US star that they call themselves ‘a throuple.’
‘Oh my god. We’re like, “Yeah, we are a throuple.” We are all three best friends,’ she said.
‘I had met her once in passing a few years ago, and then we all went to this event in September, the Academy Gala. We just clicked and had the best time.’
Selena ended up celebrating New Year’s with Nicola and Brooklyn, with the trio’s wild Cabo trip taking over their Instagram accounts for days.
Of their connection, Nicola said: ‘I feel like she’s my soul sister. I love her so much. She’s truly one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met in my whole life. The kindest person ever. Truly, her heart is gold. I feel like I’ve known her forever.’
She added that Brooklyn embraces her friendships and they don’t get in the way of married life, despite her and her husband spending every night together.
‘Sometimes my friends will come sleep over and we’ll all fall asleep on the couch, or they’ll stay in my bed and Brooklyn will go sleep in the other room,’ she explained.
Selena previously joked about the ‘throuple’ label during her Instagram photo dump from the trio’s New Years trip.
One snap showed the star cuddled with Nicola and Brooklyn on board a yacht. ‘Fine calls us a throuple #foreverplusone,’ Selena humorously wrote.
Selena appeared to have had a blast as she celebrated jumping into 2023 while surrounded by close friends, two months after her notable fall out with former pal, Francia Raisa.
The Disney star was gravely ill with lupus when fellow actress Raisa, now 34, offered to donate her kidney and they underwent the difficult transplant process in 2017.
Gomez detailed her health struggles in her documentary, My Mind & Me, released in November, but gave no mention of Raisa.
In an interview in Rolling Stone in November, Gomez named Taylor Swift as her only celebrity friend in the industry at the time. (Raisa is a Latina actress with a string of TV and film credits, including Bring It On: All or Nothing, The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Grown-ish.)
Francia unfollowed Gomez on Instagram following the release of documentary and was so irked by Gomez’s quote about Swift that she branded it ‘interesting’ in the comments section of an E! News post.
