David Beckham spent vacation with Luka Modric: Could he play with Messi at Inter Miami?

David Becckham continues his cruzade to create one of those super teams but in the other side of the pond with some of the greatest veterans from the las 20 years. Inter Miami already has Lionel Messi, whose impact has been immediate in American soccer. Becks also brought Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba in order to make Leo as comfortable as possible inside and outside the pitch. But he seems to be thinking outside the box with his next possible signing, Beckham is inadvertedly becoming one of the best presidents of recent times. There were already rumors of Andres Iniesta and Luis Suarez being approached by Inter Miami but none of those transfers happened thus far. A recent David Beckham sighting started many rumors becuase of the player he was spotted with.

Luka Modric to Inter Miami?

Earlier in the week, David Beckham was spotted in the Croatian island of Šipan and he was spotted with none other than Luka Modric. Images of the two midfielders started flooding the internet and some fans who were there even posted their own pictures with the two football legends. They definitely planned to met there because they spent this time together during a weekend in which manager Carlo Ancelotti gave Luka the days off. Even though signing Luka Modric this season is not possible for Inter Miami, Beckham seems to be setting up the ground for a potential partnership between Luka and Leo Messi.

By the time his contract ends in 2024, Modric will be able to go to any club of his choosing without a fee. Everything the Croatian midfielder has done for the club means Florentino Perez is too grateful and wouldn’t prevent Modric from leaving. Amid the arrival of so many young midfiedlers, Luka Modric will definitely have far less minutes on the pitch. If he wants to continue playing international football for a little longer, Modric will need to play for a club where he remains as active as he possibly can. Inter Miami means a slower pace and playing alongside the best footballer in history. By 2024, Modric wearing pink is not out of the real of possibilities.
