She’s Committed
While prepping for her role as Wonder Woman, Gadot says she committed to a long, intense, gym schedule. “When I worked out for Wonder Woman it was much more intensive and broad. For six months, we prepped for the movie where I [would] wake up every morning, drink Smartwater, go to the gym, and workout,” Gadot tells Good Housekeeping.
She Switches Up Her Workouts
Gadot tells Good Housekeeping that her workouts for Wonder Woman were quite varied. She says that she tried to concentrate on a lot of different aspects of exercise and working out her body. “I did a lot of strength training, cardio, stunt choreography, and flexibility work.”
She Loves Pilates
When she was preparing for shooting Wonder Woman: 1984, Gadot says that she incorporated a new workout into her training process. She tells Good Housekeeping, “I incorporated pilates into my workout routine because I feel like there’s something so holistic about pilates and opening your rib cage and actually focusing on breathing.”
She Eats Healthy
Gadot says that she makes sure to eat a healthy diet, and her secrets aren’t too crazy or out-there. She tells Good Housekeeping, “I am big on veggies, I love salads … I try to keep it healthy, so I try to keep it high in protein and low in carbs.”
She Makes Time For Herself
Gadot has a busy schedule, with her acting career, and her family, but she says that she always makes time for herself to relax. “It’s all about balancing your life mentally, emotionally, physically, and creatively. But it’s all about finding more time for yourself,” she told Good Housekeeping. Gadot says that she loves meditation as a way to wind down. “When I put my oldest [daughter, Alma] to bed, there are those apps with the guided meditations that I’ll play for her, and we’ll both fall asleep. I think that’s a great thing to do with your child.”
She Prioritizes Sleep
Alone with meditation, Gadot prioritizes sleep. “That and getting enough quality sleep are the keys for me,” she says. “Set aside no more than eight hours for sleep. The recommended amount of sleep for a healthy adult is at least seven hours. Most people don’t need more than eight hours in bed to achieve this goal,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Try to limit the difference in your sleep schedule on weeknights and weekends to no more than one hour. Being consistent reinforces your body’s sleep-wake cycle.”
She Has a Bedtime Skin Routine
“I will do my whole beauty routine of all the different things that I wear before I go to bed, serums and stuff like that. I mix my skin and beauty products, and change them—just like my gym and workout routines—because you always have to change,” she told Self. “Now I’m using Augustinus Bader. I also use products from a woman named Karen Barto, who’s a facialist from Israel. She has these amazing products for the face that I bring with me from Israel every time I go there. It’s a whole routine. She numbered everything from her products, so I put six products on my face before I go to bed.”
