Off the back of a new ten-year deal with Safilo, which will see David Beckham start his own sunglasses brand, here are all the times he sported shades with style Good news, David Beckham has decided to start his own goal-scoring sunglasses brand and we are completely here for it. Teaming up with Safilo, the Italian eyewear institution behind the likes of Dior and Fendi sunglasses and opticals, Golden Balls has embarked on a new business venture. Signing a ten-year contract with Safilo, Becks’ brand will launch in January 2020 and will see the release of both sunglasses and prescription glasses, which is excellent news for you (and us). “Safilo has a long history of creating high quality eyewear brands. I wear sunglasses all the time and this is a category that I love. So, it’s important to me to work with a partner who cares as much about the design and craftsmanship of the product as I do,” said Beckham. “I’m really enjoying the process of creating a collection with the Safilo team and I can’t wait to launch it next year.” While you’re going to have to wait over half a year to get your hands on a pair of the Becks specs, below we present to you every time Beckham excelled in the eyewear game.
