Victoria Beckham refuses to let daughter Harper out of the house wearing make-up
Victoria Beckham has opened up on her parenting skills, revealing her only daughter is not allowed to leave their home wearing makeup, despite her having talent applying it
Victoria Beckham has revealed that she won’t let her daughter out of the house with make-up on – despite her being “good” at it.
The 49-year-old, who owns her own beauty company and fashion line, has confessed that her only daughter Harper Seven, 11, is only allowed to wear make-up in the house.
The fashion designer, who shares a pre-teen and three sons with husband David Beckham, made the admission during a candid chat about her beauty business.
She revealed she takes little Harper on business trips with her and gets her involved with research for her company, Victoria Beckham Beauty.
And Posh Spice told how her daughter has become something of an expert in make-up application already, despite her not being allowed to wear it out of the house.
The mother-of-four told the Times : “She’s been able to do a full face and contour for quite some time. She’s good at doing it very naturally.”
The doting mum also told how, in addition to the business trips, the duo love shopping for cosmetics.
“Going to Space NK is her favourite treat after school,” she explained. “If she does well in a test I’ll take her to the one down the road — it’s her favourite thing.
“She’s obsessed.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Victoria admitted that her husband had never seen her without her eyebrows drawn on, following an unfortunate incident when she was in the Spice Girls .
She confessed the first thing she does when she wakes up in the morning is apply her brow makeup.
The former pop star came clean about the truth behind her “overplucked” brows and told how fans would be “horrified” if they saw her without her drawn-on brows.
Posh Spice explained how she spends her days creating products that she needs for her own makeup bag – including her BabyBlade brow pencils which were born out of necessity, given the state of her own facial hair.
“Over the years my brows have been so overplucked that if you saw me without it you’d be horrified,” she told the Times.
She then confessed to the publication: “David has never seen me without my brows. They’re the first thing I do: wake up, put on the brow. Mine aren’t even, either — they’re sisters, not twins. I’m very self-conscious about the overplucking because brows change your whole face.”
She went on to tell of her horror when a make-up artist shaved her eyebrows off when she was in the Spice Girls.
“Shaving my eyebrows! When you’re 22 years old and you’re excited that you’re doing a shoot, you don’t think to say, ‘Oh, hey, how about you don’t shave my eyebrows?’ Then you get to 49 and you’re like, ‘Sh*t.’”
Victoria also revealed that she’s had laser hair removal on her brows, which seemed like a “really great” idea at the time.
