David Beckham makes a visit to Jeremy Clarkson’s farm and poses for a snap with fan-favourite Gerald Cooper
David Beckham took the time to visit the Diddly Squat Farm, owned by Jeremy Clarkson, over the weekend.
Former Top Gear host Jeremy, 63, took to Instagram on Monday to share a snap of the former footballer, 48.
David posed alongside Gerald Cooper who works on Jeremy’s farm and has become a fan-favourite with his appearances on the Amazon Prime series, Clarkson’s Farm.
David cut a laidback figure in a navy blue knitted jumper over a striped white and blue shirt.
He teamed it with a pair of light blue jeans, white shoes and a brown gilet as he wrapped an arm around Gerald’s shoulders.
Gerald looked cheerful in a dark blue jumper, black jogging bottoms and a pair of navy slippers.
Captioning the joyful photo, Jeremy quipped: ‘Gerald. And another man.’
Gerald and Jeremy have formed a solid friendship, despite the presenter not wholly understanding the farmer due to his thick West Country accent.
In an interview with Farmers Weekly, Jeremy said Gerald ‘has done the combining on the farm for 50 years.’
He added: ‘He’s such a character, I knew he’d be great on TV.’
David’s visit comes after he dropped by the Macau hotel rooms he designed for the first time and documented the visit in a host of Instagram posts.
It was revealed in January last year that David was raking in cash by choosing furniture, linens and art for suites in a £580-per-night hotel in China’s Las Vegas after another big money deal in his friend President Xi’s Communist state.
The football ace, worth an estimated £380million ($518million), has co-designed 14 rooms at The Londoner in Macau where guests who fancy sleeping with the star for the night can do so – because his picture is on the wall next to the beds.
During his first visit to see the rooms, David shared a slew of inside snaps, including those showing the images on the walls, the robes adorned with his initials as well as his session making Chinese Almond Cookies with the in-house chef.
The incredible touches in the rooms included branded coasters and robes, cushions and slippers adorned with his DB initials.
In his latest venture in Macau, the footballer has created a series of rooms that will be available to book by invitation only, with each space boasting his portrait on the wall, as well as his initials monogrammed on the linens.
Part of The Londoner chain, spokespeople for the Chinese hotel says the suites, ‘reflect the best of the star’s discerning style and sophistication and feature the comforts he enjoys when travelling’.
David’s suites boast a decor inspired by his English background, with swish velvet furnishings, a marble dining table and personalised bedding.
As well as a snap of himself, each room also features a portrait of his wife Victoria showcasing her photography skills, with guests also gaining access to an exclusive bar, as well as a restaurant serving an array of classic British dishes.
In a video released to promote the suites, David can be seen offering his expertise during the design process, insisting the bedrooms should be gold, before two of the designers come in with an array of ideas.
