Cara Delevingne is playing Selena Gomez’s love interest in season two of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building

Cara Delevingne will be Selena Gomez’s love interest in the second season of Hulu’s hit whodunit Only Murders in the Building, which premieres on June 28.

The London-born 29-year-old plays Alice, a sophisticated art gallery owner who ‘puts Mabel Mora (Gomez) in touch with a side of herself she’s been somewhat neglecting’ – according to Vanity Fair.

‘It’s definitely most like me than any other character I have ever played, but with some more daring looks, for sure,’ Cara told Elle via email in February.

‘Selena is a very special friend, and it’s been so fun to get to work with her for the first time. Well, actually, second time. She actually hired me when I had just become a model, and she had designed a clothing line.

‘We have known each other a long time. And, of course, working with Steve Martin and Martin Short is like a master class in comedy. I feel so lucky to get the opportunity.’

Oscar winner Shirley MacLaine will play the icy mother of slain Arconia board president Bunny (Jayne Houdyshell) in season two of Steve Martin and John Hoffman’s critically-acclaimed series.

In the second episode of the Upper West Side comedy, the 88-year-old acting legend’s character accuses new Arconia resident Amy Schumer of stealing Bunny’s $1M painting.

On February 18, the 29-year-old 'Texican' pop star shared a TikTok video of them attempting to tie cherry stems into a knot where she failed and Delevingne succeeded

'I'm sorry. Look at that! Look at that croissant!'

The 40-year-old Emmy winner ‘plays a slightly unbearable version of herself’ subleasing Sting’s penthouse unit, who wants to adapt the Only Murders podcast for the screen.

And Grammy nominee Michael Rapaport is also new to the cast as Detective Kreps, who’s investigating Bunny’s murder.

Steve Martin and Martin Short both earned $600K/episode to executive produce and star as crime podcasters in Only Murders in the Building last season, so it’s safe to say the 29-year-old ‘Texican’ pop star earns the equivalent.

After becoming the most-watched comedy in Hulu history, Only Murders in the Building scored a nomination for the 82nd annual Peabody Awards, and winners will be announced on June 6.
