Sydney Sweeney NOT having an affair with costar Glen Powell amid his rumored split from Gigi Paris
Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney, 25, is NOT having affair with costar Glen Powell, 34, and remains happily engaged to Jonathan Davino, 37, despite raising eyebrows with incredible chemistry
Sydney Sweeney remains happily engaged to her fiancé Jonathan Davino, despite sparking unsubstantiated affair rumors with her Anyone But You costar Glen Powell.
While fans have been speculating whether the 25-year-old Euphoria star’s incredible chemistry with the Top Gun: Maverick heartthrob, 34, spilled off-screen, an insider confirmed that she ‘is still’ with her husband-to-be, 37.
The source added that the costars ‘are not dating’ and that the Sharp Objects actress is back to living with Davino, a successful entrepreneur and businessman, since wrapping filming on her upcoming romantic comedy.
‘All is well between them,’ the outlet reported of the two-time Emmy nominee’s nearly five-year relationship, after accepting the restauranteur’s proposal last March.
Images of the performers packing on the PDA while filming around Australia, from kissing on a yacht to sharing a steamy smooch outside the Sydney Opera House, spread like wildfire on social media as many weighed in how ‘hot’ of a couple they would be.
Gossip that the duo maybe have crossed a line became a topic of conversation when Powell’s model girlfriend, Gigi Paris, reportedly unfollowed Sweeney on Instagram.
The recent unfollowing has sparked speculation that Powell and Paris have called it quits, according to Page Six.
The Instagram account, DeuxMoi, which publishes anonymous and unverified tips about Hollywood stars, reported that the actor and Paris were experiencing a rough patch before filming on his new film with Sweeney even started.
Gigi visited Glenn on the set in Sydney last month, but left after less than two weeks, according to Page Six. Previously, however, she left a supportive comment under one of Sydney’s Instagram posts, in which she announced their new film back in January.
Gigi had recently been posting cryptic messages to her Instagram which prompted fans to wonder if she and Glen had broken up, according to Jezebel.
The romantic comedy was shot in Australia and is directed by Will Gluck, who helmed romcoms Easy A and Friends With Benefits.
Details on the plot of the R-rated flick are being kept under wraps, but the film will also star Bryan Brown, Michelle Hurd, Hadley Robinson and Darren Barnet.
The project is expected to bring AUD $41 million into the local New South Wales economy, as well as creating over 440 jobs for cast and crew.
Sydney is best known for starring in The White Lotus and playing Cassie Howard in the HBO hit show Euphoria.
In March, she confirmed her engagement to People.
Sweeney and her fiancé were first spotted in each other’s company in 2018.
The actress gave a rare statement about her love life during an interview with Cosmopolitan last year and expressed that she was not romantically interested in anyone working in the entertainment industry.
‘I don’t date people in the spotlight. I don’t date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it’s easiest. I have a great support system,’ she said.
The performer did, however, speak about the qualities she wanted in a partner.
‘I look for a best friend. I need to be able to be with someone who I can literally hang out with 24/7 and never get sick of and we laugh every single day,’ she said.
